I've a question for you , all the people who are stressed about SDK and when it'll be released .

Why are you waiting for SDK when you have all the apps on your ipod (iphone) right now . SDK is a software for developpers but all the apps will not be free as with jailbreak .

I'm also impatient to see what apple will give us but , I think , that we don't need to create hundreds of threads about this . Only one sticky with all the news should be enough .

So that was my opinion about that .

    Give your .

I agree that there shouldn't be trillions of threads on this, but I do think that we should be excited. There might be a way to get those apps, remove copy protection, and get those on our iPods. The SDK will promote the growth of jailbreaking, because people don't want to have to pay. In addition, Flash!

The SDK release means a few things which some people might like and some might not,

    Good:
It will open up a new era of the iPod/iPhone
New things will be possible, not just apps
    Amazing new Apps
    Oh yeah and Flash...

    Bad:
    It will probably cost money
It will probably not be released to everyone
The applications you develop will be limited
    sh*t won't be free anymore
    No more illegal stuff
The thrill of doing something "illegal" will be replaced by the need to develop or use the "new" apps
The jailbreaking will die off with time

I really don't think that apple will be stupid enough to protect those apps so less .
I think that the apps will all cost money and not removable from the copy protection. Not be easy at all ...

    We'll see ...

I have a 16gb ipod touch that had a lot of trouble with jailbreak , apps , themes , ... but never had a problem with the fact that it's 16gb .

The only thing that you can't do is Ziphone (You can if you are lucky)

I believe there is a huge need for the SDK apps. The vast majority of ipod touch owners have no interest in jailbreaking and will be happy to pay for commercial applications. Then there is the group of ipod touch owners who believe strongly in controling their jailbreak devices.

Either way - here comes the flood. Apple will be selling hundreds of new application through iTunes, taking their cut and those with jailbreak pods will have their cake too.
