Why not a $249 16gb sku?

    It would of been perfect for me. I have the 16gig 2nd generation right now and barely use half of it. Why does apple neglect people in my demograph?

    Because they want people to move to the more expensive model. Apple knows that many people feel 8gb to be too little, so many will move to the next size up. A $300 device earns more money than a $250 device. And if they had a 16gb as the base, many people would opt for that, which would earn apple even less money

    I agree with this, and it worked on me. Went from 16gb 1st gen to 32gb 4th.

    same here. although i probably would have anyways since i'm almost out of room on my 16 gig. i have 859 mb of space left lol
