    1. Clean, good touchscreen.
Yes, very smooth scrolling and the likes...
    2. Price.
500 dollars is cheap for the real thing, suck it up and don't be a cheap ass and reach for the clone.
    3. Following.
Really, if you buy one of those clones, who is going to help you if something breaks... If mine breaks I can do a normal DFU restore or ask one of the geniuses here.
    4. App Store.
    'nuf said.

Well that's it. Discuss. I was stating what the iPad has that the clones don't, not the features.

Clones never defeat the real products.

apple's multitouch software on their idevices is pretty much unrivaled by any other device on the market...

Clones never defeat the real product, but innovation does.

The biggest company I see innovating in the tablet space is HP, with it's recent acquisition of Palm. Of course, Google may do something very interesting as well.

well i think that new ipad clone that is coming out with android 2.1 on it is better than the ipad. ipad to me is useless so having android would be much better. but if i didnt have an ipod touch i would go for the ipad if i HAD to. if the ipad's price wasnt so high a lot more people would go for it and like it.

How low can they make it? It's already taking sales away from the iPod touch. With a lower price, no one would buy the ipod touch.

    O/T Only in Star Wars.
On topic, yes, clones are "knock-offs" of original products. Made to look the same, but not function as well as the original.
