At the start I bought an iTouch because I live in Israel, and in Israel Apple don't sell iPhone. Well, I enjoyed the iTouch very much but it always looks like the iPhone is better. It has a camera, internet without a WiFi and of course, the phone. Now, Apple are planning to sell the iPhone in Israel too, and they will do that in September, which is also my birthday. I am planning to buy a 3GS now, but I am still not sure if it worth it because I already spent a lot of money on my iTouch.
I saw some people saying that iTouch is better than iPhone and I don't understand why, is it only because its price is lower or there are other stuff?

*Sorry for my English if I made some mistakes.

Reasons why some claim the iPod touch is better:

    1. No expensive cellular contract

    2. They may already have a cell phone under contract

    ___

As you can see, those reasons are not based on features or capability, where the iPhone is superior, but on reasons specific to the user.

Yeah, that's basically it. You don't have to pay lots of money every month.
But there are rumors that the next iPod touch will have a camera. And, you can make phone calls on the iPod touch if you buy a mic for it and use Fring (made in Israel, I believe

). I recommend the Macalley iVoice III. If you have a 2G iPod touch you can use headphones with a mic built in.

    Shalom.

They both have their ups and downs. If you can afford it, I would reccomend the iPhone. If not you can do everything on the iPod touch that you can do on the iPhone except take pictures. Just get the necessary apps and a mic.

Friendly reminder to the threadstarter, it's iPod touch and not iTouch (Logitech product)...

Anyway, my personal preference is towards the iPod touch, mainly due to price as well as me having an already good Sony Ericsson phone (with 3.2mp camera)... Furthermore, the warranty for an iPhone bought in Malaysia is only valid here unlike the iPod touch, with its worldwide warranty...

I got an infraction for saying the whole iTOuch thing...

But, still. It all depends who you are, really. For some, the iPhone suits their needs much better. For others, its the touch.

Depends, are you fine with a touch? If not, then get an iPhone if you can afford it.
