why isnt the dev team releasing the 3.0 jailbreak

    I thought they said that the 24K exploit was perminant why would they have to preserve it if the same exploit always works.

    I mean I saw their original purpose was to preserve the 24K exploit on the next gen iphone but that exploit was released if anything its already patched over might well release the 24k exploit for the ipod touch 2g.

    Because they would have to make it for every beta firmware (which was about 9 last time), it just isn't worth it, also, Chris Stroud is working in making a user friendly jailbreaking tool for the 3.0 betas on the iPod touch 2G

    So Apple doesn't patch it when they release the final version.

    They cant patch it its a perminant exploit

    but they did it for the other Idevices?

    Because it would be a waste of time to do it for every beta that comes out. Almost all apps do not work anyway.

    It's pointless right now, Cydia isn't even compatible with 3.0 yet.
    Also, they have better things to work on, like a permanent 3G unlock.
