Why doesn't Apple make an official Installer? Like they could make it so you could buy programs on the go. They could make so much off of themes and stuff.

I don't feel my iPod Touch jailbroken is stable. This is why I would like an official release.

they dont make things easy. for anyone. to do anything. at all.

because, they don't like the idea of hackers (us) having access to the iPhone's internals, and messing with stuff...

Apple (like Google, IBM, and Microsoft) try their best to rule out the possibility of something like that ever happening...

although, it's blatantly obvious to see that Apple failed at protecting their product...

If you don't believe me, then just take a look around this website for five minutes to see just how epically Apple failed at protecting their iPhone

Because those two apps mess with the System Files of your device. And those could potentially damage your device and/or force you to restore.

    Apple does not want that.

Maybe Apple will in the future release their own or 3rd Party will release a version thats safer.

They already failed. So why not make it a winning failure and make money from it

    .

Well I mean like they could make a program that let's you change your wallpaper from the boring black and maybe they could sell some themes. Microsoft managed to do it for the 360...

in apples defense, how can you for-see some people hacking the iphone, making it available to the public, and a whole community of people making and using third party apps.

I doubt Apple will ever release ANY app through Appstore that doesn't suck

they only allow small, semi-useless apps, while we (hacking community) get kickass stuff like Summerboard, Customize, and iPhysics for free

Well think, how big are the icons on the iPod Touch and iPhone and how big is the iPod Touch's screen? The background will most likely be blocked by the icons and the dock itself.

Spore, AIM, Super Monkey Ball. Those don't suck now do they?

Yeah, but I'd rather have a sweet abstract background than a boring black nothing.

Do you honestly think that Apple hasn't noticed the iPhone hacking community by now?

It's no secret that Apple knows about Jailbreak. All that matters, is that they tell you that "modifying your product (iPhone) voids the warranty...

Voiding your warranty is Apple's way of discouraging people from hacking their device...

So if some idiot comes along, hacks his iPod/phone, and bricks it,

then Apple can simply say, "Sucks to be you, we can't do anything, you have no warranty"...

As a result, Apple spends no money to fix your iPhone
