Why doesn't apple want us to jailbreak iPods?

    because it's not their work and they don't like the idea of themes etc.

    thye don't not want us to jailbreak our ipods. in fact there are apple employees that hve jailbroken devices themselves. besides, having to jailbreak gives us to something to do

    That's true, but hardly anyone tries to get cracked apps because they're illegal. Is that what they're called? lol

    • Why doesn't Sony want you to mod the PS3 or PSP?
    • Why doesn't Microsoft want you to mod your Xbox 360 or Zune?
    • Why doesn't Nintendo want you to mod the Wii or Nintendo DS?

    Where? How? When?

    Also, Apple is doing what it is doing to protect it's own platform. If you choose to update and it screws up your device when you hacked it, that is your fault and your fault alone. You cannot blame Apple for you screwing with your device and suddenly, an update screws it up. If you are thinking the 10.5.6 Apple Update is a block, the iPhone Dev Team themselves said that it wasn't. It was just Apple's mistake.
