why does my macbook pro make a ticking sound when i lift it up?

    is it the hard driving making the sound or the cd drive and is it normal?

    I think it's the CD drive. Mine does it too :p

    It's a known thing, happens with all Pros I think.

    Uh, no. Most Mac laptops are like this, as is my 2009 Macbook. It's a feature, not a...bad thing.

    Definitely not a problem. Don't replace it. Like mentioned above, it's a safety feature that locks the drive heads when it detects excess motion to prevent damage to the drive. Mine does it too. Freaked me out at first...
