Why does my computer think my iPod Touch 2G is an iPhone?

    I plugged my Touch into my computer and a popup came up that told me how to create a ringtone. I was like, "What?", but I closed out of it anyway. Then I looked at the main iTunes page and it said my iPod Touch 2G was an iPhone (see image below).

    Sorry I forgot to delete the serial number so I reuploaded.

    And I'll replug right now. I just think it's kinda weird that it's doing this, I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

    Edit: Yeah, now it realizes that it's an iPod... weird.

    This has happened to me before, and this was before i Jailbroke it.

    Wow this is weird... I just plugged it in again and it thinks it's an iPhone. I wonder if I can do anything with this *ponders*.

    XD, that's funny. It must be the Super-Apple-Eff-Off-USB-iPodTouch-to-iPhone-converter, or some shizzle. Perhaps your 2G has developed a consciousness and wants to be an iPhone.

    well they have the iphone files in it so maybe itunes gets confused and reads the wrong files or some thing. i have had a pop up saying an iphone was plugged in but itunes never called it an iphone. weird
