Answer me this. Why do you all want to Pwn your iPod Touch / iPhones?

Is it just for the Logos? Or the fact that you can "SORT OF" create a Back Up?

I see all these questions on how to do this, Why do I do that, Why does this not fit there, if we do this will so and so do so and so.

Honestly, ask yourself. Why do you want to Pwn?

I can see why people with 2.0 want to pwn.

But how about you 1.1.4 jailbreakers out there?

The Pwnage Tool is just 1.0 right now. I'd wait if I were you guys until it gets better with more features.

Well I like to because you can use 2.0, also 1.1.4 has a backup, you can store it with your intstaller sources and everything!

i agree there is completely no point in "pwning" your ipod unless its for the 2.0 firmware
even getting 2.0 firmware is pretty useless, super laggy + no jailbreak.
EDIT: actually one good thing is that if you restore your pwned ipod with a customze firmware (which is already jailbroken), you get a jailbroken device after you restore. it saves the process of jailbreaking 1.1.2/3/4 (not 1.1.1 =P )

My question exactly. I don't see any Android or Linux custom firmwares, so what is the point?

There IS no "TRUE" Custom firmware on the iPod yet.

So the ONLY point of Pwning right now, is to have 2.0. Which you can *Partially* call a custom firmware:

    A. Its different from current 1.1.4 (Sort of)

    B. Its Apple's Firmware.

    What? It's a rational possibility.

I like being pwned because all I have to do in case of a restore is alt-click on restore in iTunes and I'm instantly Jailbroken. And its by far and wide the best jailbreak I've ever used.
