    1. [Fixed] I can't even install it!! I get "Main Script Execution Failed"

    2. [NVM, I guess APT repos are better] The old sources for Installer don't work! Why couldn't they have made it easier?

    3. [Still a problem] You can't even uninstall it!! And they didn't even tell us!!

    4. [Still hard to say, because there are only 2 sources] A big reason to use this was because refreshing sources was faster. Well, DUH!! There are barely any sources to use!!

    5. [I guess Cydia uses something better than BSD Subsystem] It uninstalls BSD Subsystem, one of the major requirements for a lot of apps.

Feel free to add to the list.

    1. Mee too! =[
    2. Theres more info displayed, meaning they need more stuff and that means people will need to fix their repos for it to work
    3. meh, I'd want it just in case, hidden with a shortcut in bossprefs. (or installer there, depending on how it turns out)
    4. You can't really say its slower though, we'll just have to see.
    5. Theres a replacement, which is updated more often (according to them), but the apps that need bsd subsystem should still work as usual.

Installer has a horrible interface. Cydia works fine for me, and now I can actually get the stuff I want (Unix utilities, command line programs like irrsi, ngrep). Cydia also uses debian packages which makes it an auto-win.

    Heh.

Cydia has a much better user interface and can install all the unix utilities that have beem missing. For example, now I have VIM with working syntax highlighting.

    Awesome.

Reinstalling BSD will BREAK the debian installer. They are completely different systems.

And for the record, this will be a lot better. You can't compare something that has been wel established to something that was released a mere few hours ago.

This will save considerable refresh time, as it doesn't work on plists. I'll put it this way, the TouchRepo alone currently is 4,195 lines long. Installer has to read that, plus all the other repositories, combine and sort them all into one grand repository, then compare it to what is already on file.

Also, upgrading form a command line will be nice.
    # sudo apt-get install YourFavoriteGame

    Some more important differences.:
    Automatic dependecies check,
A more accurate versioning system for package (no more seeing updates to lower version numbers in Installer, unless it is an honest to goodness upgrade).
Much less load on the hosting servers, as repo files don't need to be called every single time anyone refreshes their soruces.
