If porting apps from 1.1.4 to 2.x is as easy as just changing some hardware calls, why can't someone modify the source from Apollo to work with 2.x firmware? The jailbroken community needs an IM app that isn't from the App Store so we can have background notifications and real push (not that stupid email thing that doesn't even work half the time). I would do it, but I am too busy with school to learn Objective-C.

Money. The creators of Apollo are also the creators of MobileChat [In App Store].

Only if it's open source otherwise no one can do it.

i'm surprised there hasn't been any activity on this. Someone please just take a look at this and say if it can be done. I would learn Objective-C if it's pretty easy to port from 1.1.x to 2.x when you have the source.

Again, someone that knows Objective-C, please read this and tell us if this can be done. Everyone is really hoping that this can happen!
