I recently updated all the albums on my itunes with pictures. So I deleted all the songs off my ipod touch and decided to put them back in. After i deleted them, it wouldn't let me drag and drop any music files. The only way I can get files in there is if I Autosync them in. After that, they appear on my itunes in a gray font, and they won't let me click on them or do anything with them. What's up with that?

Set to manual music and video management.

Yeah. You somehow got autosync turned back on. You have to change it back to manual to be able to drag and drop.

Wow ok...before reading all of this...I turned my ipod off and back on...it tried to add automatically add songs I didn't want. I canceled the sync and now I have no songs...I turned the autosync off yet it won't let me drag and drop...Can someone give me step by step instructions? I'm really confused. thx.

You've rebooted both the computer and the iPod at least once? Just checking.
