Why are they charging a price for TouchPad Pro

    I just wanna kno wat gives them the right to charge for touchpad pro...i mean I am pretty sure that they use jailbroken ipods and they werent charged for it..im pretty sure that they whoever developed it has tons of applications on their ipod/iphone(s) that they haven't been charged for...so y do i have to pay to use the media server?? and dont give me that "it's a computer extension" bs

    yea...obviously it's theirs...and but nobody else charges for their applications...so i dont understand...

    But I think touchpad is actually WORTH the money.

    Well, the system we have now is donations (the few generous individuals, while many others do use that app or program)

    The developers of touchpad just want a definite source of income, relying on donations isn't very practical, plus they lose a bit of money since it isn't always consistent.

    thank you x6blues..i can understand that...they should have asked 4 donations..i think that would have been a better idea...and i cant even download the trial..

    well, they put a ton of work into it. from what i've read here, most the of people that give apps for free and accept donations have gotten next to nothing.

    This is a sure way of getting something back for what you worked on. Guaranteed that people are buying this (not all ipod owners are penniless kids with rich parents that are scared of this newfangled "internet" thingamabob)

    just for clarification, the program itself is still free...

    the server that you install on your computer to control media however, is not
