Im definently not gonna risk bricking my ipod ( or whatever everybody thinks is happening when they say they bricked their ipod). Im waiting for the untethered jailbreak if it comes out. Im in not rush. Jailbreak or no jailbreak I still love my ipt2g.

    Sigh.
You can't brick your iPod by following these instructions. IF something goes wrong, all you do is put the iPod back into recovery mode and restore it, hurray, it's back to new!

I was worried about damage to my lovely 2G at first, but if all goes wrong (and it did for me, at least 4 times), you could just restore it, and try again. And it's really not that bad for rebooting, as long as you're not on a trip or something.

I'm waiting for a tethered, or a GUI untethered. Doing it manual just isn't worth the hassle
    in my opinion.

Yeah and if I'm on a trip, I'll restore it to normal BUT back-up my apps and everything else using SSH and then put them back on it when I come back home.

    I haven't.
I'd rather wait for something more stable and legit.

Yea, I've spent hours trying to jailbreak it currently, and none of it's worked. So I'm waiting for a GUI, or if none come out, untethered.

I am going to wait it out for a few weeks. I want something stable and I reboot my iPod often to free memory
