Who's gonna wait to jailbreak 3.0?

Personally, I am. I'm happy with 2.2.1 for right now. I'll jailbreak when they have more tweaks/jailbroken apps working correctly without bugs.

    How 'bout you?

I'm waiting. Everything is looking rather unstable at the moment.

there doesn't seem to be any huge plus side to upgrading on the ipod touch first gen :/

i already updated to 3.0 just for the tethering feature, and its amazing. i love the new features like mms and tethering, but if i had to do it for an ipod, i probably would wait for the jailbreak to be finalized because the 2 best things i like are for the iphone only, but yes the copy and paste is pretty sweet 2

^this is true. 100% worth upgrading if you have an iphone. my neighbor has one. hes so psyched for features that have been around for years. I.E.- recording video, sending MMS, etc...

Yeah, there is nothing that exciting for the first gen touch, and I'm happy with 2.2 atm (if I can play peggle, then I'm fine

Once all the apps i need are compatible and bug-free on 3.0, I'll upgrade

I was planning to stick with 2.2.1 for a few weeks, then I was uninstalling the cydia adblock that comes with iHalo.
I guess I did something wrong and I ended up having to restore.
I tried 3.0 Jailbreak to see what wouldn't work and honestly it was too much at the moment to justify the new features.
Luckily I found out that I still had an ipsw for 2.2.1, so I was able to downgrade eariler today.
Honestly I don't see how people are surprised that a lot of stuff isn't working correctly.
It should be obvious that developers need a few weeks to work out the kinks.
It was the same way for the transition from PPC to Intel, XP to Vista, etc.
Give it some time, most apps will be fixed.
