    Hi all!

I just tried to update my jailbroken iPhone 3GS from 3.0 to 3.1.2.
Everything went just fine, used quickpwn to make a custom firmware to pwn my 3GS. Then I clicked shift+restore selected te FW file.
    Restored, and thought YAY 3.1.2
But then my face went from

because my WHOLE iPhone got ereased.
EVERYTHING, contacts messages pictures emails music video's apps.

But then I calmed down and thought: O yeah, I still have a backup..

Until I realised: I JUST DID A CLEAN FORMAT ON MY MAC~!~
I also have another backup on my PC but that's from 3.0.
    Can I restore this backup?

And o yeah I don't see my carrier name in the top left corner?
How do I get that back?

And is it possible to go to an original 3.1.2 copy?
And then jailbreak it and restore my backup?

Cause I really want the carrier name back and all of my files and messages and stuff.

Backup from 3.0 won't work on 3.1, it will say it's an older firmware backup or something and won't work, you're f***ed...FAIL.

try this to extract the backup and manually enter your info back, that seems to be the only way besides downgrading
