I need a rough idea - I need Mac people to say how it's always been pricewise, and if there would be a chance of price drops by Xmas time.

I highly doubt there would be a price drop by X-Mas if there was a new release. I mean, probably a rare 10% sale.

What are Teslanaut's thoughts on the new MacBook being released at a lower price - Like the iPhone and iPod Touch 2G were?

Wait, are you asking if they're dropping prices on current gen MacBooks? Or price drop of new hardware?

I'd rather the new hardware. If it's a lot better than the current MBPros then I'll get a new one instead of an old one... But old ones will be dropping anyway even if it's by $100. :\

If indeed its new MacBooks/Pros, I doubt they'll still be selling Old gen. Or like, it'll sell, but only for a few Weeks. Cause, who'd buy it anyway?

Spose you're right. It'll die out like iPhone 1st Gen and iPod Touch 1G and all other previous iPod/Mac models... But the rumours say between $800 and $1400... That's about... £400 - £700 here and that's AMAZINGLY good value.

But.. like the Touch... you get it for £100 less because we have to pay like ENORMOUS tax and stuff. So.. we'll see.
