    Hmmm so cygwin doesnt work for 2.x yet?

    you have the build the toolchain manually, as under NDA binary toolchain installers are not allowed. and personally, if you are unable to build the toolchain, you are unable to create applications. that's just how it goes. you need to know the basic structure of your cross-compiler you're working with to compile iphone apps. cygwin would make it EXTREMELY hard to build on, as it offers a very low level base for development anyways. either get a mac, or dual boot wiht linux, download the development packages from apt, and build the toolchain.
