Currently I'm a Windows Mobile user and use HTC DIAMOND to hold my calender data. It works well, but soon I'll be getting Nokia 8800 Arte so I would like to use my iPod Touch 3G for calender events.

I gave a try to Pocket Informant and built-in calender but both never alert me if I'm not in those apps. So, anyone here using their iPhone/iPod Touch for calender events? Or maybe somebody could tell me the correct way of getting those events to work

The calendar app? I'm not quite sure on what you mean, maybe you could clarify, because it's a bit obvious isn't it?

Yes, I know it is obvious, but the alarms only work if I turn my ipod touch off with the calender app in the foreground. Otherwise, it does not work

I can't imagine there being an app that can do this then, because of the way Apple wants it's calendar to dominate, even though it's crap.

Well, I only want the events to work, nothing else. I can live with the default Calender app
