So I've been playing with my newly jbroken 8gig, and I've downloaded a few themes, SBSettings, Winterboard, etc. When I go into "Manage Packages" in Cydia, I find it hard to know which packages came installed with Cydia and which ones I installed myself. I want to delete some things, but obviously I don't wanna delete important packages that I need to run Cydia (packages that came with it). Sorry if I sound like an idiot.

    Packages I see:

    Activator (??)
    Apple (Theme I installed)
    BigBoss's Source (??)
    Cydia Community Sources
    Cydia Installer
    Dev Team
Five icon dock (installed myself obviously)
    ModMyi.com
OpenSSH (I downloaded this, but dont really know what it does)
Saurik's Source (this came with it)
    SBsettings
    sbsettingstoggles
    Winterboard (obviously installed myself)
    ZodTTD's source

I dunno, sorry, I'll probably have a hard time getting someone to help me, but can anyone point out packages that COME with Cydia, so I don't end up deleting anything important?

Those are all pretty important. OpenSSH lets you transfer files over wifi (or cable) to your iPod filesystem. Activator lets you program certain actions (eg, double click home button) to do things (like launch an application).

Thanks guys. Happy that people are understanding, I'm pretty much a jailbreak retard. First time ever doing this. The excitement mixed with the confusion is ridiculous.

For instance, how do I get battery percentage?

Ok, but how do I get to sbsettings. So I open Cydia (Page isn't loading due to the number of people on right now) so do I go to manage? I basically don't know how to open SBsettings.

Based on your initial post sbsettings is already installed,

To activate it slide your finger along the status bar at the top of your ipod screen. Slide from the wifi logo to the battery (or vice a versa) it wont matter.

then follow what i said before

Oh wow, didn't realize you could slide on the homescreen, freaking cool.

What other cool things can I do with SBsettings (that you recommend)?

sbsettings lets you setup toggles so you can turn on/off your commonly used features.
If you use the wifi toggle, you can quickly turn on/off wifi
Same for all the other toggles.
Just depends on what u use.
There's also a notes toggle to write a quick message
The process toggle lets you see whats running.
The brightness toggle lets you manually change how bright your screen is.
to pick your toggles go to more and then set toggles

Another question (sorry) there is a "1" sitting atop the Cydia app on my homescreen, which I'm guessing means an update. When I click on "Changes" in Cydia, it offers an update for UIKitTools, should I update this? I don't even know what UIKitTools is...

Gee, I feel like I'm going to be horrible at this.
