hey guys i just have a few quick questions. well i'm on a jailbroken 3rd gen 8gb touch, and yeah the battery is pretty bad. but since theres already a few threads about tht, i have a diff question. i have battery app pro and SBsetting numerical for battery life. sometimes when almost done charging, battery app will say your device is fully charged, but then SBsettings claims it's only around 91% or so. and they never actually seem to be the same number.
so question number one... which one is correct, if either are?
also, what are some real battery drainers? like i have 5 column and a bunch of jailbroken apps and stuff, any battery extension tips?
and lastly, if an app doesn't work or is not existing from the website you're downloading it from, that just means you simply cant get it, right? (i wanted justcalculateit

Due to a hardware issue(in all iDevices), it's always off by 5%.

Here is why your battery is bad: you are jailbroken.

When you jailbreak, you are trading battery life for Cydia, etc.

Actually I don't think it's really 100% proven because my battery life has gotten BETTER with jailbreaking...so I don't know what you are talking about, and to the OP

I don't think any battery meter can be 100% accurate, but they are pretty accurate to a certain extent. Which one is right? I don't know, just assume the battery is somewhere between fully charged and 91%...say 95%?

I'm sure that it has, if you are monitoring your processes closely, and closing those that you don't need.

However, for most people, that is tedious, and the difference is negligible.

i havent really noticed a difference with battery life since jailbreaking. only that i seem to play more games now rather than listen to actual music..

yep they do, but i think this thread is more about cydia just being on the device which drains the battery. Not surprised either if you have things like winterboard/sbsettings/supreme preferences 3.0/make it mine/backgrounder running.
