which is better?

    hello there. i have a question. normally when i want to stop my ipod, i close my ipod fully. but meanwhile, i can make, stand by mode? right? okay. which is better for battery? when i close fully and when i want to start my ipod, im waiting so much to opening(like 40sec). many thanks for your help...

    in standby, it uses some battery, but not much
    when you fully turn it off, it doesn't use any.
    so when you "close" your ipod fully, it uses less battery

    but you should use standby because it is .1 seconds to start up vs. 40 seconds for turning it on. And it uses lots of battery starting it up.

    Unless you are planning to keep your iPod off for a while, just use Standby.
