Well I mainly listen on the bus which isn't too noisy but is sorta bumpy. I also sometimes listen at home. My budget is $35 CAD but $45 if its at Best Buy (gift card). I've sorta limited it to:
    http://www.thesource.ca/estore/prod...ne&category=Earbud Headphones&product=3314010
    http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...e702f18dfd431f76en02&ActiveTab=Tab_custReview
    http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...spx?path=3c32cc226bd93e6b9603fd272272a2d6en02

They need to be portable enough for me to put in my bag and I mainly listen to rock. Other recommendations would also be nice.

According to the people of head-fi (huge headphone forum, go there if you need advice), the Koss KSC75 are supposed to be some of the best cheap headphones out there, so you shouldn't be dissapointed.

On that note, you should get the Sony in-ear ones you posted, I have the same exact thing except without the volumecontrol/mic if thats what it is, and they are better than ANYTHING I've ever heard, except my $90 headphones, BETTER THAN SKULLCANDY.

So it was between the Sony in-ears - $30 for regular, $40 with controls - and the Koss KCS75. Leaning towards the Koss ones. Don't really need the controls coz I have activator on my Touch.

Dude anything On-Ear will sound worse than in-ear, believe me.
Also they are much more compact, and will block out more sound.
ALSO other people will not be able to hear your music, so if you are in a quiet place like a library you can play medium-high volume. With Koss crap you can't put above 1/4 and everyone hears it.
Lastly the Sony ones are EXTREMELY durable, the longest my earphones have ever lasted are a month, my Sony is going on EIGHT monthes now. No joke. Im serious dude, listen to me, you will NOT be dissapointed. FFS I dont know whats with people and thinking that on ear and in ear can compare, unless we are talking high-end.... A $5 in ear headphone from Big-Lots will sound better than a $15 on-ear headphone.

Well a bunch of communities like Head-Fi rate is as a great bang for your buck - not to mention much cheaper than the other ones. Countless positive reviews on Amazon. Not to mention if it breaks, send it in with a 6 dollar check and they'll mail you a new pair. I think i'll go with the Koss ones for now.
