ok so i just made a firmware that has boot logos, i put the two pictures in pwnagetool and i made a firmware. hopefully im right up to now. BUT, since i dont want to restore fully, someone gave me a 24mb ipsw taht restores only certain areas of your ipod, not music videos apps etc. I need to find the files that contain the boot and recovery logos in the pwned firmware.. how do i get these files? What are they called? Help please.

    look at my tutorial:

    http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151938

1)download official 2.2.1 ipsw, place in xpwn folder
2)place your boot and restore images (must be .png) in the folder xpwn-0.5.7/bundles/
    Code:

    logo.png- boot logo
    recovery.png- restore mode logo

    3)open command prompt
    5)
    Code:

    cd C:\Users\yourusername\Desktop\XPwn-0.5.7-win32\

    5)
    Code:

    ipsw "iPod2,1_2.2.1_5H11a_Restore.ipsw" "custom_bootlogos.ipsw" -nowipe -s 750 -b bundles/logo.png -r bundles/recovery.png bundles/Cydia.tar

6)open up your new custom_bootlogos.ipsw with winrar or similar program
    7)go to customipsw/firmware/allflash/n72ap... and locate applelogo5lxxx.img3
    8) copy applelogo5lxxx.img3 to your desktop
    9) open my ipsw with winrar or similar program
    10) go to runrs.ipsw/firmware/allflash/n72.ap...
11)drag the applelogo.img3 from your desktop into the winrar folder
    12) continue with tutorial
