From what I know, people may be working on getting Siphon ported over to 2.0.x.. yet well over a month has passed and still nothing.

I want to know... since there's is no Voip app for 2.0.x yet, why is the Bigboss repository for 1.1.4 down? I mean c'mon, people are stranded without voip and I'm sure there thousands out there that will echo my opinion.

So my request is that one of you devs (I'm referring to you in a polite manner) please port the voip or at least try to bring up the repo again.

I am, sincerely, expecting a response.

I've had Fring, but an iPod touch first gen.

Is there a microphone for the first gen ipod touch that works with 2.1 yet??? haven't heard any updates on this lately.

Yes, I've heard of it, but what kind of mic do I use for my 1st gen touch? Touchmods mic maybe?

For first gen iPods Fring will not work. Fring uses line in (you talk into the mic in your headphones, and the sound is transfered into the line in plug in the headphone jack.

The touch mods mic sends the sound through the usb connector port on the bottem of the iPod/iPhone, so Fring will not detect the sound comming from the touch mods mic.

is there a way to get the iphone headset to work with the first gen touch or is it missing line in. And if it isn't missing line in, can we create some sort of hack to allow it to use line in.

Fring works just fine. Not as VOIP but the IMing is 100% working.
