    Make a theme file and make an Icons folder in the theme folder. Put the Chrome icon in it

    More elaborately: Themes go into "/private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx"
    Icons go into a folder named "Icons" in the designated theme folder
    The name of the icon is most important: however it appears on the SpringBoard, is how you name it.

    ex: Safari -> Safari.png
    Even though it appears as MobileSafari.app in file browsing, the shown name in the SpringBoard is most important. Case Sensitive also

    That's what I did before I knew how to use themes. It's safe as long as you back up the original icon, but it's a hassle to undo, unlike themes, where they can be quickly disabled or enabled in Winterboard
