Alright, so I was unjailbreaking and upgrading to Apple's 3.1.2 firmware through iTunes. Unfortunately, doing this took my App Store apps away - or at least the icons for them. Perhaps it was a bad idea to unjailbreak while the apps were sorted using the Categories app from Cydia. However, I can actually get into the apps by searching the name of it through Spotlight search on my iPod. Oh, some native apps are gone too like the Clock app. The apps on my iTunes on my computer aren't everything I paid for in terms of apps (I bought a lot of apps from my iPod itself) so I don't want to just try and sync all that. I had some app updates that needed to be downloaded from the App Store on my iPod, so I tried that. I got the little spinning circle in the top left corner of the screen symbolizing that they were being downloaded, but the apps did not appear on my Springboard. And no, none of the apps were illegally downloaded.

If there is a way, how do I get my app icons back?

    Thanks in advance!

Go into Settings > General(I think) > Restrictions > Enable and set password, then disable them and they should be back.

Do you mean to enable restrictions, then disable them?

    Unfortunately, that didn't do anything.

I was planning on updating to an updated jailbreak, but I don't think that this would quite work. I'd use a different jailbreak tool, so yeah.

Maybe on itunes you can click the app option, your apps should be there.
