iOS 4.0 Where does cydia download to?

    Hi there, I was wondering where cydia saves its files when you download something. Thanks!

    I dunno if it saves it. I think it just installs then deletes the file/package

    I believe it goes to autoinstall?

    I know where it downloads to (not by memory I would need to wait to update some apps im updating then open iFile) but Cydia deletes it after it installs.

    It gets saved to your core backup files. You can find these file by SShing and going into your springboard and finding Cydia.app please correct me if im wrong

    Here is the location "/private/var/cache/apt" I found this out when Mobileterminal was stuck and wouldnt download and thats where the .deb was located.

    or it was "/private/var/cache/apt/archives" one of those. I don't remember exactly.

    Nothing seems to be in those folders.. Is there a MAC alternative to 'Cyder'?

    I would've thought it gets saved to /tmp in case of a failed install so you can try to install it again.

    Like i said it gets deleted after.

    If it save all the .debs people would complain because it would use up more space on their iDevice.
