You can put .deb files in any directory. To install you must install MobileTerminal and do the following :

    su root
    cd /directory-you-put-the-deb-file
    dpkg -i file.deb

    and it should work

    A good directory is /root

Crud... MobileTerminal crashes every time I start it... Any alternative ways? How about SSH?

You don't need to install it from MobileTerminal. Just SSH it anywhere on your device. Open iFile, navigate to the folder that you put it in, tap on it and press 'Install'.

You just tap on it and a menu pops up like this:

    Then just press 'Installer'.
