when you remove apps from Cydia

    are they completely wiped from the ipod touch? or do they leave file traces like you get sometimes in windows.

    really dont want these leftovers or temporary files clogging up the ipod.

    The leave a single .plist in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences, but that is insignificant.

    What they install is what gets taken out. They can't subvert it.

    The only time you'll have leftovers is if you modify or change stuff in the folders they installed stuff to, like in WinterBoard themes. If you add icons or Bundles or whatever... the directory will remain, as Cydia didn't install those files and it can't kill the directory unless it's empty.

    Cydia is scripted package menager, this means it deletes all files that package was programed too. So it all depends on package.
