When the new bootrom gets pwned4life will they call all bootroms that are pwnd4life a old bootrom, and all the new ones to come new bootroms? Or will there be like 3 different categories? im just wondering

Edit: If a mod could change the title to "When the new bootrom gets pwned4life" id appreciate it

They will probably order them in MB, MC, MD.

Um, probably the current bootroom will still be considered the "new bootroom" till the apple does a hardware update and replaces the current MC bootroom. Then I'm guessing the "new bootroom" will either be the old bootroom or MC model, and the MB models will be ancient or MB model.

They will switch to using the MB, MC, and MD bootrom thing, the only problem is iPhone's aren't as easy to determine the bootrom. some MC models have old bootrom.

So if a 3GS has an old bootrom then does that mean that it could be jailbroken with Redsn0w 0.9.5, which jailbreaks the 3G?

You need a tool to jailbreak that device specifically.
An older version of redsn0w will work for iOS 4 for 3GS (old bootrom).
The newest one for 4.1 doesn't support 3GS
