when will itouch multitask?

    when would the ipod touch be able to multitask as like in apps being minimised and then opened when needed

    is it possible for the ipod touch to do so?

    the real question is, would apple allow it?

    and the answer is NO (unless they change their mind)

    wait... why would you want to do this? I see it helpful on occasions but if you're thinking of multi-tasking alot of things its just going to give your touch massive lag

    Until they release an iPod with actual memory. Like alot of memory.

    It would kill the battery even faster though if you could minimize things.

    I don't know what the hell an iTouch is, but I better tell Apple to file some copyright infringement suits.

    I don't understand why palm with their new toy Palm Pre was able to push out multitask while apple iphone with it's 128 mb of ram is only good for one app at a time. Even the windows xp which I ran on my 7 years old box with same amount of ram can multitask better than the iphone, especially since it is based on a slim down version of the great OSX.

    For those that doesn't know Palm pre is getting multitasking: look for the "Card" feature.

    The Palm Pre is basically running one thing. A Web Browser. Most of the "Apps" created for it were using HTML/CSS. Based on what I've heard so far from the media outlets.
