When upgrading to firmware 3.0...

    Just one question, when upgrading to firmware 3.0 for ipt2g do you have to put it in DFU mode or can you just shift click restore while connected and not in DFU mode?

    all you have to do is hold shift and click on restore and then click on the firmware upgrade no dfu needed.

    you also need to make sure you have the latest copy of iTunes or it wont work you'll get 1043 or 1042.

    yeah, I got that error, but I do have 3.0 on my ipod touch now!

    if you accidentally synced unregistered iPod does it lock you out permanently? or you can re-sync after you pull the plug of your isp?
