When playing a video: is it my ipod touch or...

    ... is it normal for colors not to completely match with the original video when you watch it on the monitor. White seems darker, blue seems greenish, etc...

    Uhm... I had a similar problem... try rebooting your iPod (completely turning it off and restart)

    Did it, doesn't change it. It's probably not that negative black screen, just colors not matching. Some seem lighter, others seem darker or a different color.
    Must be the difference in quality from a monitor to ipod screen?

    Are you streaming the video to your device? Are you using a low video bit rate on the video you have transferred to your device? Both these questions would suggest a less than ideal video display.

    For the white problem, what is the brightness setting?

    Every type of screen (even between different manufacturers) is different. I'd be willing to bet that it is just the way the iPod's screen is.

    Yeah guys, it's not even a 'problem' I think. video display, although different, actually looks better than the monitor in alot of scenes.

    Must be the settings, as I've seen how bad the negative black screen is on youtube, and it's definitely not that issue.
