I have XP, iTunes 7.7, and a pwned firmware I made at my friends house. I put the iPod into DFU mode and try to restore it with the custom firmware, and it gives me error 1602 when its in the process of preparing the iPod. I've already deleted x12220000_4_Recovery.ipsw. The only thing I can think of doing is going into the iTunes folder that has all the firmwares in it, and replace the original 2.0 with the custom one. Any thoughts on getting this fixed?

You have to Pwn your iPod on 1.1.4 before you can install custom firmwares on it.

So you're saying if I downgrade to 1.1.4, then pwn it, THEN install the custom 2.0, its all peachy?

Well then, looks like I'm gonna have to do that then. I'll report back how it went in a hour or two.
