Help! No sites help me! Okay, here's the problem: I have a 1st gen 3.0 firmware itouch and I skip songs halfway through sometimes or near the end. When i re-shuffle the playlist when it goes to those songs it plays from where i skipped from. (ex. if i skipped with 6 seconds left it plays the song from 6 sec. left and not at the beginning!) It does this for all my songs no matter if i shut it off an restart or shuffle again! HELPP!

    Restore? See if that helps.

I don't think a restore would help. It's an iTunes thing.
    Here's what to do:

    - select multiple songs (or all of them if you wish) from the iTunes list
(by holding the Shift or Ctrl key)

-right click and choose "Get Info".

-from the Options tab switch the "Remember position" box to "No".

    That should do it.

Restoring won't help because iTunes saves the settings on your computer and some settings even in the mp3s themselves (like tags and covers).

This option works great for audiobooks - coupled with the "Skip when shuffling" to "Yes" and "Media Kind" to "Audiobook" (obviously).
