Like say 1.1.3 update comes out (in February i believe) we will have to learn to Jailbreak that one again.....

If that happens, when I jailbreak the iPod again, will I lose all my contacts, calendar date info, etc.?

I just don't want to take a lot of time and type stuff into this device and then lose it all everytime apple makes an upgrade and I have to re-jailbreak again....

no you will not have to add all your details again as long as you have them on your computer. it will most likly wipe your ipod touch clean but all you do then is plug it in to itunes and update it and it will be back to normal

most likely it won't wipe your ipod.
(the upgrade to 1.1.2 didn't, unless you were one of the impatient one that couldn't wait for it to become avaliable as an update, and went to do a restore to 1.1.2 instead [the file for restoring was avalialbe for download a day or so before you were able to just click update in iTunes)

Just make sure you WAIT before you ever upgrade, read the posts to see
    1) if a jailbreak of the new version is out yet,
    2) is there any preparation steps you need to take before upgrading.
Don't be on of those people that click Yes unthinkingly when asked to update, and then cry over having to start over with a stored ipod

Anyway the february update is for the launch of SDK. So jailbreaking will be useless...

This should not be a problem so long as all information is on your computer.

*Remember, Don't upgrade unless its safe.
