Ok so i have a lot of stuff on my ipod and it's formatted to my liking. Is it going to be possible to have a NOR-Only jailbreak that will not remove anything and at the same time update my ipod?

    Probably not?

Doesn't updating your iPod not delete everything?

Not if it is through iTunes, but if you update through iTunes to 3.0 on a jailbroken ipod then jailbreak will go away i believe.

If another redsnow 0.3-like program appears for 3.0, then it would just be a matter of updating to stock 3.0 and running it.

Well i'm wondering if its possible to have a 3.0 jailbreak that updates you to 3.0 and installs a nor-only jailbreak so i'm on 3.0 and i still have my 2.2.1 jailbreak sh*t without having to take forever to backup.

this would only update iBoot, etc and be so it would be useless since your filesystem would still be 2.2.1(and chances are your ipod wouldn't boot)

You would backup your iPod, update the firmware and jailbreak it when the dev-team releases it.

No, when you update click the check for update button and it won't delete any of your data that way
