    When 3.0 comes out, will it be like the jump from 1.x to 2.x? Like will all jailbreak apps stop working? Because that would be so bad, and there would have to be a new cydia and all apps would have to be converted over? Hope it doesn't turn out like this.

    1. See the search button up there next to New Posts? Use it.

    2. 1.x -> 2.x was a huge change for all frameworks, 2.x -> 3.x is not.

    So your saying jailbroken apps will work on 3.0 inmediatly? NO. They won't.

    Most of the apps will need some tinkering with. Cydia doesn't even work at the moment, though Saurik is on the case. It's not that jailbreak apps will need a total rewrite as happened 1.0 -> 2.0 but they will need, at the very least, some recoding.

    Ok. I guess that's alright then. Hopefully there will be some sort of program that can patch apps to work for 3.0.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Most apps are far too complicated to be fixed through a simple program...

    back when 2.0 made its' debut, Terminal and Cydia were the first apps that were ported over and made commercially public...
