What's Your Thoughts on the iPhone's Purported 19-Pin Dock Connector?

    Theyll offer an adaptor anyway so thats good as long as it makes the phone thinner and sexy...

    I think as long as it's a sturdy connector and an adapter is available somewhere it won't be too much trouble.

    it will not bother me provided an adapter is provided to allow the thing to dock on my existing 30 pin docks and stand up in those docks.

    i just hope it is not a cheap cable, because the other one ripped/broke so many times..

    What are my thoughts? I just hope they include an adapter because I often charge my iPhone and iPad through the same power supply, and it would be such a hassle to keep switching cables from one device to the other.

    They did it with MagSafe2, they will do it on the iPhone. They will also, obviously, offer an adaptor. It needs to be changed. Apple has been on the 30-pin for some time now. It's not that the 30-pin is bad, but a 19-pin could enable Thunderbolt Connections.

    I only have one charger, and the wires are exposed on that one...

    Would the 19 pin connector be on the new iPod Touch?
