I am a little more disappointed than excited. Sure i will update my Ipt2g to 4.0 (at least when theres a jailbreak and most bugs are fixed out) but i think it was a little too over-hyped. Most of the apps on the JB scene are once again still better than what apples new features include. Looks like another whole year of waiting for a new firmware.

However, Apple's presentation of the features is where the difference is. Folders, which is more like Stacks than Categories, for example, is a far better implementation. Additionally, all of the changes to the mail application are fantastic.

yah i have to say the Folders is what im looking forward to although maybe i have a biased opinion because all i do on my ipod is watch youtube videos and play games? I also am looking forward to that social game network, seems interesting.

I think everyone would be happier, but for the kick to the face at the end.

little off topic but its relevant, does anybody know where i can see a video of multitasking at work? I would LOVE to see how they tried to rip off us Jailbreakers.

I'm confused at why the iPhone 2G isn't supported. Doesn't it have the same processor and same amount of ram as the 3G?

Quite simple this one, Apple are there to make a profit, and theres no profit to be made in supporting something you sold 2-3 years ago, when you can phase it out, and sell a new device. When OS 5 comes out, dont be surprised to see support for iPhone 3G / iTouch 2G being phased out (the reason will probably be the processors too slow)...

i think this is the best update yet! however i do believe it is really unfair that the iphone 3g and ipod touch 2g get limited features and there is going to be no further updates on the 2g iphone and the 1g ipod touch.

Jobs said the old iDevices didnt have the hardware to fully run 4.0

how much do you wanna bet once there is a jailbreak for 4.0, there will be a package on cydia for the features for the old iDevices
