I have a 2g 8GB touch, it is not jailbroken running on 4.0. It is very slow all the time, the bottom left corner has a white spot, it freezes often and is unresonive and the left headphone randomly stops working or gets quiter. If I twist the part of the headphones that go into the jack it turns the left headphone back on. I havn't dropped my iPod hard and it doesn't have water damage. Anyone know whats up with it?

    1. Can't help sorry.
    2. It's normal if you have the earphones that don't have the ending of the Apple ones.

Apple's ones are straight at the end and others are perpendicular

I can help you with this.)
The headphone jack is broken (it happened with my iPod 1st Gen, the connectors have worn out) - well that or your headphones have broken. Try another pair of working headphones (if they work then you know that your connector has broken). There are ways to get around the headphone problem, one of the best is to get a iPod remote that connects via the dock connector and connect headphones to that.

For your other problem I would suggest a Reset all Settings (and after if it hasn't solved your problem) a Restore

Go to apple and have them replace it. Since it is defective hardware.
