Hello all, I'm just wondering why everyone is drooling over 2.0 like a 13 year old with a Victoria's Secret catalog. Besides the initial newness and cool factor, it really isn't that special yet. It's buggy, it has no music store, no app store. I totally understand why people want it, but it's like the second coming of Christ or something. Maybe some later builds will be better, but you might as well stick with 1.1.4 or custom firmwares when they are released
Exactly. I agree, I do want it too. Just for having 801.2x capabilities. I think people should start creating custom firmwares instead. If I'd know how, I'd do my own firmware right now.
Well thats why it 2.0 beta. I totaly agree with you, but as soon as the final 1.2 comes out then it will be awesome!
i know i dont speak for ANYONE BUT myself, but on a personal level, i have to have it. its almost like a sickness.. i cant think about anything else all day long when i know i could be installing 2.0 right now. its to the point where i cant even wait for the windows version to be released: im already finding friends who will let me borrow their mac so i can do it right now! even tho the windows version will be released later today or tomorrow! im that insane. do i know its beta? yep do i know i will lose WAY MORE than i will gain? yep. is that stopping me? hell no. will i creep my sorry ass back to 1.1.4 at the end of day? you bet? will it be worth it? YES. yea. fine. you dont care to cripple your ipod. but for the sheer thrill of loading up new firmware, i do. i LOVE having the latest. even if it means putting off all other obligations, such as school, i simply wont function until i get it up and running. there. thats my pointless post to a thread that asks, "Whats the Point?"
For the record, i definitely didn't say that there isn't a pwned version of a firmware-that-shall-not-be-named-on-my-Touch.
