iOS 3.1 whats the point

    Hey i was just looking at some posts of people asking to downgrade from 3.1.2 to like 2.0 ? but i was just wondering why wud some one wanna do that ? whats the point in downgrading and whats the benifits?

    Same with me! I see a lot of threads with downgrading tutorials/questions/etc.

    i did it because i have an iphone that wifi doesnt work....so when i downgraded it worked but only with bluetooth on, then i tried upgrading and using the bluetooth method but it didnt work so im downgrading again

    I only understand 3.1 => 3.0.

    Maybe 3.x => 2.2.1 for LogoMe compatibility. Maybe, just maybe.

    yeah, i saw a post with someone wanting to downgrade from 3.1.2 to 1.1.1 i was like just thinking isit that some people are just weird or what lmao

    Honestly, I firmly believe that the 1.x firmwares were the best (you had to be there to understand).

    However: If you are new to the iPhone 'scene' then the newer firmwares will be better, in your eyes. However, one thing that the newer firmwares lack is the speed present in the 1.x series, and to some extent, the 2.0 series.

    The 3.x series of firmwares is significantly slower (per device) than previous releases.

    no i can say i wernt.

    im new-ish, only got into all this jailbreaking stuff when i joined this site anyway about 4/5 weeks ago and in my opinion im quite good at it. and im still learning lol.

    sorta ot: can u downgrade ipod touch 2g to 1.x firmware

    on topic: i think because some people might of never updated and stayed on 1.x then updated to 3.0 and then didnt like it
