Sorry for being noobish but I have to know, what's the point in WinPwn?

I think I understand that you can install fw 2.0 but it doesn't have AppStore or Installer. It seems pointless to me..

Someone tell me.. whats the point in winpwning an ipod touch? Am I missing something? I've seen "the threads to end all threads" but I'm really confused so someone please tell me in detail more about it.

You can add custom boot logos and make firmware with the apps, sources, etc already built in. Then if you ever need to restore or anything they are already there.

It allows the iPod to run unsigned code, so custom firmwares. This allows applications built into the firmware as well as the custom logos.

It will also be able to "pwn" every single firmware version released eventually, unlike other jailbreak methods which are version specific

If that's true why does pwning require 1.1.4 ? Shouldn't you be able to pwn any firmware?

And do not forget that this is only a beta, not full version

one quick question, if you pwn your ipod then restore factory style, do you have to pwn it again?

The point of Winpwn is to pwn your device using Windows...
