I am playing with DVD fab now for the 30 day trial, what's everyone else using? I'm not looking forward to the $50 for this program after the trial. Hope this topic hasn't been beaten to death

I'mToo/Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum 4 is a great program. But it hasn't been updated for the Touch. But Xilisoft has released a program just for the Touch. I haven't tried it yet but it comes with the ability to rip from DVD to Touch I believe.

i have had Xilisoft DVD to Ipod for about the last 2 years and it has NEVER work correctly , tech support basically gave up on me , they literally had nothing left for me to try. Either the video and audio were off , or the video was really really choppy The only reason i keep it is it's half way decent for ripping a DVD to an MP3

When using handbrake, do you have to use dvd decrypter first or can it convert directly from the dvd drive?

Well really that would depend on the DVD. I have converted many directly from drive with Handbrake. However, I have had to, on occasion, use MacTheRipper to do the job.

Ah, I see. Thanks. It's just that I always get an error when converting directly. Lately I'm using Videora. It works great, but the file sizes are HUGE.
