But you can see the How to Jailbreak 2.0 with Winpwn guide. That is safe and does work.

    Well...

Easiest way if you have a PC is...

    1. Downgrade to 1.1.4...

    a. Uninstall iTunes, and then Install iTunes 7.5... if its says something about iTunes Library.itl, delete it and reboot your computer.

    b. Download the 1.1.4 firmware somewhere (Google is your Friend)

    c. Put you iPod in DFU mode by turning it off... then Holding both the Power and Home button for 10 seconds, and then letting go of the Power button BUT still holding onto the Home button for another 10 seconds while you iPod is connected to your Computer. Your iPod should come up on iTunes as in Recovery Mode.

    d. Shift click Restore on iTunes and choose the 1.1.4 file that you downloaded before.

    2. Download WinPwn, and pwn your iPod.

    a. go to Winpwn.com and download the latest WinPwn (RC 3 i think).

b.Install and run winpwn and click on browse ipsw... and select the 1.1.4 firmware file.

    c. connect your iPod and click iPwner... wait for like 3 minutes, and it should say that your iPod has been Pwned*

    3. Update iTunes to 7.7, and update your iPod to 2.0 CUSTOM FIRMWARE

    a. Go ahead and update your iTunes installation however you want.

    b. Download a Custom 2.0 Firmware (Google, sorry, i cant link).

    c. Now that your iPod is Pwned and yout iTunes is at 7.7... Shift+Click on the Restore button and then choose the custom firmware that you just downloaded...

Now you should have 2.0 JAILBROKEN! Yay!@!!!

*If WinPwn fails to put your iPod in Recovery mode... disconnect your iPod, and then turn it off... then hold the home button and then while your holding it connect it your your computer, and it should keep on going from there...

You aren't missing anything right now anyway. Just give it some time until the software gets the bugs out, winpwn is made, and there are actually apps and stuff that you can use.
