Ok so I recently updated to 3.0 on my iPod touch.

Then 3.2 or whatever comes out.

    What's the difference?

iTunes should tell you the differences....
Or you could've simply looked it up.

Anywhoo, there are bug fixes (as usual), App Store changes, App Management (in iTunes), and other small changes. Some people report different things about the battery, too.

Probably one of the more negative aspects of the upgrade

No, no. He's right. The controls can be reactivated to pop up when in-game, in-app, etc.

Settings - General - Home and set:

    Double-click: iPod
    iPod Controls: ON

I can see a very small difference in performance, but it's definitely there. And I think... I think it was worth the restore.
