What's the difference?

    i updated my ipod touch 1g to the new update 2.2, what the difference updating a 1g to a 2g and buying a 2g ipod?

    You can't update a 1g to a 2g? They are iPods, not firmware.

    better processor, smaller, internal speaker, potential for bluetooth, better battery life

    the 1G won't have external volume controls or a real internal speaker no matter what firmware you install. The 2G has a faster processor also.
